CaliSucursal is an independent project that publishes free cultural and travel content about Cali (Colombia). Voluntary payments, when available, are made in appreciation of content that is already published.

CaliSucursal’s texts and design belong to its owner unless another author is credited. Third-party photographs are used under the licenses shown in their credits.

Information about places, opening hours and access can change: check official sources before your visit. Linked third-party sites, such as YouTube, Google Maps or Stripe, are governed by their own terms.

What data is processed and why

• Emails: the details you send when you write, such as your name, your email address or payment information, to answer your question or handle a refund request.
• Voluntary payments: payment is completed on Stripe’s page. CaliSucursal receives from Stripe the information needed to identify and manage each payment, such as the amount, the date and the contact details you provide, but never your full card number.
• Browsing: Vercel hosts the website and may process technical connection data, such as your IP address, to serve and protect it.
• Statistics and performance: Vercel Web Analytics records page views with technical data (approximate country and city, device type, operating system, browser and referring page). It does not use cookies or store anything on your device: it tells visits apart with a temporary identifier computed from technical details of the request, which is discarded every 24 hours and cannot identify you. Vercel Speed Insights measures page performance anonymously.

Legal basis

Questions are answered with your consent, given when you write. Managing voluntary payments and refunds relies on the relationship created by the payment, and keeping payment records on compliance with legal obligations. Hosting relies on the legitimate interest in offering a secure website that works well, and traffic statistics and performance measurement on the legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used and improving it.

Retention

Data is kept for as long as needed to handle each question or payment and, afterwards, for the periods required by law.

Recipients

Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting, traffic analytics and performance measurement) and Google (email) process data under their own privacy policies. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area with the safeguards set out in the GDPR. Your data is not sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict its processing, or request its portability by emailing chrisavendano0508@gmail.com. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

Cookies

CaliSucursal does not use its own cookies or any advertising or cross-site tracking tools. That is why no cookie banner is shown. Stripe’s own cookies and privacy policy apply on its payment page.

Terms for voluntary payments

• Voluntary payments are not charitable donations, do not unlock exclusive perks and are never required to access the content, which is free.
• You choose the amount on Stripe’s secure page, in Colombian pesos (COP). Your bank may charge fees for international payments or currency conversion.
• CaliSucursal does not request or store your card details.

Refund policy

• Each payment is voluntary and made once, in appreciation of content that is already published.
• You can request a full refund within 14 calendar days of the payment, without having to justify your decision.
• To request one, send an email stating the date, the amount and a reference that allows the payment to be located.
• Duplicate, incorrect or unauthorized payments, or those caused by technical errors, may also be claimed after that period and will be reviewed as appropriate.
• Approved refunds will be made using the original payment method, unless another procedure applies.
• This voluntary policy does not limit any rights you are legally entitled to.

Refund requests should be sent to chrisavendano0508@gmail.com. If you do not recognize a charge, email the same address so it can be resolved as soon as possible; this does not limit your right to contact your bank or card issuer.
